The World of Wonder is an incredible new purpose-built space for children at Hull Community Church, Newland Avenue. After you've signed in at reception, leave your shoes and pram in the room just beyond reception on the right, then go through the wardrobe, past the hobbit hole and the magic faraway tree, and the Bounce Room is on your left! Sometimes it's disguised as a spring scene, Narnia battleground or a winter wonderland, and sometimes if we turn the lights off we enjoy a magical sensory room filled with sparkly, twinkling lights. It's always a beautiful room with a bouncy, soft floor and lots of comfortable places to sit - mums comment on how easy it is to breastfeed during class because even the walls are padded and comfy to lean against!
Join us every Monday and feel free to stay before or after the class, any time between 10 and 1, for a play!
What you need to know:
There's usually on-street parking on Newland Avenue, outside the venue or close by.
The World of Wonder is wheelchair accessible, but the receptionist will need to open a different door for you directly from Newland Avenue.
There are toilets in the World of Wonder, and baby changing facilities in main building, just beyond the stairs on the right.
The World of Wonder is also available for hire for birthday parties and family gatherings, and at various times during the week for church events, as well as special themed adventures a few times a year. Take a look at their website for more information.
